As a Chef I'll say this is absolutely correct. I have worked at a lot of restaurants and a lot of what they serve is frozen. Frozen bread, cookies, french fries, onion rings, gravy bags, even mashed potatoes. These products are slam packed with preservatives and chemicals to keep them "freezer fresh".

This is why I tell people to learn to cook. The quality of the food is what you make it. Are you going to be a master chef after a day? No, probably not after a year either, but cooking is a skill that a lot of people lack. Cooking at home could save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars a year, and depending what you're cooking, you'll probably feel better too.
