255,217 learners. 11 EdTech solutions. One message: EdTech is not a luxury.
Thank you to Shega Media for capturing the spirit and urgency of Ethiopia EdTech Week 2025.
What began as a bold initiative to support local entrepreneurs in education technology is now delivering real impact across Ethiopia — from learners in remote areas to schools integrating inclusive digital tools.
The first cohort of fellows didn’t just develop products — they built solutions that:
✔️ Reached over 255,000 learners
✔️ Increased access for underserved communities,
✔️ Created tools aligned with the national curriculum
✔️ Proved that local innovation can scale
As this article rightly puts it, this week wasn’t just about celebrating progress — it was about calling for deeper investment in scalable, inclusive, and context-driven solutions for learning.
Grateful to our partners at the Mastercard Foundation, the team at Reach for Change, and the incredible fellows whose stories continue to inspire what’s possible.

When Collaboration Becomes a Catalyst for Change

The event closed with a renewed commitment to deepen collaboration and make learning in Ethiopia more inclusive and future-ready.
