🚨 PA security forces arrested activist Mazid Saqf Al-Hayet in #Nablus today.
The arrest follows Saqf Al-Hayet's filing of a legal challenge against Mahmoud Abbas just days ago, in which he rejected the formation of a committee to draft a temporary constitution.
The challenge targeted the decree regarding the formation of a committee to draft a temporary constitution for the transition from the Authority to a State, arguing that it violates the Palestinian Basic Law and the principles of constitutional legitimacy.
It asserts that the Palestinian Basic Law remains the supreme constitutional reference, as stipulated in Article 115, until a new constitution is established through a national, consensual, and democratic mechanism that aligns with the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and national sovereignty.

🚨 The Prisoners' Media Office reports a dangerous and continuous escalation against Palestinian female prisoners held by the zionist occupation. Forces have carried out violent raids into the sections, forcibly removing the hijabs of the prisoners and physically assaulting them in a flagrant violation of all humanitarian norms.
Female prisoners were forced into the yard, made to sit on the ground, and subjected to beatings. The occupation forces utilized dogs and sound bombs during these brutal attacks.
Several female prisoners have sustained injuries due to these savage attacks, which have been carried out four consecutive times during the current month of December.
The Prisoners' Media Office holds the zionist occupation fully responsible for the safety of our sisters and warn of the consequences of this ongoing repressive policy. The Office called upon all human rights and international institutions to move urgently to stop these escalating violations in "Damon" prison.

🚨 The Committee of the Families of Political Detainees has issued a statement strongly condemning the dangerous and continuous escalation of political arrests carried out by the PA security forces.
The committee highlighted the systematic targeting of the Al-Bishr family in Salfit, following the arrest of brothers Mohammad and Abdullah. They join their brothers, Abdul Rahman and Musab, who have been held in PA prisons for over a year and a half. In a further escalation, the PA has summoned their 70-year-old father, Hussein Al-Bishr, in a clear attempt to break the family.
The PA and its security apparatus are held fully responsible for the safety of the Al-Bishr family. This dangerous approach will not succeed in silencing the voices of the families of political detainees.

🚨 The Committee of the Families of Political Detainees released a statement reporting a dangerous deterioration in the health of political detainees Yazan Hanoun and Suleiman Al-Shami due to severe torture within PA security prisons.
Yazan Hanoun, from Jenin camp, appeared in court in a dire state, showing clear signs of stress, including positions on his hands, extreme emaciation, and exhaustion. His family reports he has been subjected to beatings and denied warm clothing in the cold during continuous week-long interrogation sessions. He was recently hospitalized under a false name to hide his identity before being returned to a cell in Al-Junaid prison without completing treatment.
Similarly, Suleiman Al-Shami was brought to court on a chair, unable to sit due to severe fractures in his back and pelvis. Al-Shami was brutally arrested in July, thrown from the third floor, and shot at close range before being dragged while bleeding. Despite undergoing surgeries, he was kidnapped from the hospital twice by security forces and denied necessary medical follow-up.
The committee holds the PA security apparatus fully responsible for their lives, demanding an immediate end to medical negligence and their urgent release to hospitals.

🔴 *The Hidden Genocide: Thousands of Palestinian Political Prisoners Suffer Severe Crimes and Extermination Behind Bars - December 2025 Briefing*
🔴 *Commission of Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society*
December 25, 2025
Ramallah, occupied Palestine – The Commission of Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) have released a new briefing on the detention conditions for the more than 9,300 Palestinian political prisoners held in the Israeli occupation’s prisons and military camps, covering the month of December 2025.
The Israeli occupation’s prison system and military continues to systematically destroy Palestinian prisoners both physically and psychologically, using methods and policies that have become unprecedented in scale since the start of the genocide in occupied Gaza. The war crimes and crimes against humanity being committed against prisoners constitutes an inseparable part of the genocide as well the ongoing violent colonial erasure of the Palestinian people across all Palestinian geographies.
Lawyers of the Commission and the PPS conducted dozens of visits to Palestinian prisoners in December 2025, specifically to the Ofer, Naqab (Negev), Megiddo, Ramla Clinic, Rakevet Underground Section, Shatta, Gilboa and Janot central prisons, as well as several military camps where detainees are held including Sde Teiman and Gilad, and finally Damon prison where all female detainees are held.
Testimonies gathered and highlighted in this report show a continued severe decline in prison detention conditions, and an escalation in brutal assaults by special prison forces units. This comes alongside systematic starvation, the denial of medical treatment and healthcare, and the continuation of policies of deprivation of the most basic necessities of humane life. The occupation’s policies are aimed at violating prisoners’ human dignity through humiliation and abuse, carried out instantaneously and around the clock.

🚨 The Palestinian Authority security services continue their campaign of political arrests and crackdowns across the occupied West Bank.
In Jenin, security forces arrested Thamer Saba’neh from the town of Qabatiya. Saba’neh is a former prisoner who spent over 7 years in "israel" occupation jails and was only released from PA custody a few weeks ago.
In Nablus, following his release two days ago, activist Mazid Saqf Al-Hayet condemned the Public Prosecution’s decision to extend his detention on fabricated charges of possessing weapons and ammunition. Saqf Al-Hayet stated that there is no evidence or seized material to support these claims, describing the move as a clear policy of arbitrary repression. He called on human rights organizations and the Bar Association to take a stand against these violations.
Additionally, security forces in Nablus kidnapped the youth Diaa Saqr while he was participating in the funeral procession for the martyr Anas Abdel Fattah.
The Committee of Families of Political Detainees emphasized that the escalation of arrests and violations reflects a persistence in suppressing freedoms and targeting activists. They called for an immediate end to these practices and the release of all political detainees from PA prisons.

The Commission of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club mourn the passing of Ali Qadri, the brother of the heroic prisoner Yaqoub Qadri, from the town of Bir al-Basha, Jenin.
For the third time in three years, the hero of the Freedom Tunnel operation faces the pain of loss from within the walls of zionist solitary confinement. Yaqoub Qadri lost his mother in 2022, his father in 2023, and today his brother Ali, while the "israel" prison administration continues to deny him the basic right to communicate with or bid farewell to his family.
Yaqoub Qadri is a veteran of the resistance who joined the struggle during the 1987 Intifada and participated in the 2002 Battle of Jenin. Sentenced to two life terms and 35 years, he remains a symbol of the will to break the chains. In September 2021, Yaqoub and five of his comrades successfully liberated themselves from "Gilboa" prison, an act that humiliated the zionist security apparatus before he was recaptured and placed back into isolation.
Since the beginning of the genocide, many Palestinian prisoners have been deprived of mourning their first-degree relatives, a systematic policy of psychological torture practiced by the occupation.
