Testing malware with a VM— what’s the likelihood of an attack on the host computer?
Is it very rare? Very unlikely?I think malware testing is interesting and I would like to try it out myself.I’ve heard unless the malware was written with vulnerabilities in the VM in mind, the risk is pretty much zero. I’ve also heard that people have become smarter and have written code now to check to see IF you’re using a VM and if you are, to not continue infecting your computer (at risk of being caught.)
