[question] Changing DNS on android Mobile Data via terminal
Hey guys, i hope its ok to ask questions in this sub.so after changing the dns settings in my network i realized that i still have a dns "problem" on my phone which i try to get rid of.my phone is rooted with android o and usually uses the dns from vodafone germany (139.7.30.126)right now i try to change it to the dns server from the CCC and Digitalcourageso i did the following:
su setprop net.dns1 85.214.20.141 setprop net.dns2 213.73.91.35 setprop persist.radio.dns.sub0 213.73.91.35
checked everything with
getprop | grep dns
and in theory it should work. so i went to whatsmydnsserver.com and it still says 195.50.140.133 (Vodafone) i thought i need a reboot, but that will reset my "new" dns settings.question is now, how set i do them persistent and what did i do wrong that i am still using the vodafone dns?

Is Avast Free decent?
Hello, I have Avast free (Hardened mode, max settings) + Hitman Pro + Malwarebytes Free, I have UAC max and I use a standard user account, it is also local. Hitman Pro has expired but I still use it to see if I am infected, if so I will buy it. My real question is, is Avast a good free antivirus? Is it better than Windows Defender? Is there a better free alternative out there? Is my setup good?Thank you.

To install or not to install
I am having an inner debate whether to install an app (Touch protector - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=biz.obake.team.touchprotector) which would let me "do things while screen is off". This means e.g. playing youtube or video (just for its audio part) with a black screen and auto-blackening my screen when I put my phone into my pocket. The app needs 'no permissions', this means that it only has run at startup, control vibration and use fingerprinting device under all permissions. To use all the features, it is also needed to enable it as an accessibility service (permissions: it can observe what you type and monitor your actions). The app is from GPlay and has good (4.4) reviews. Some people asked about permissions and personal data handling and developers (from Japan) answered that no data theft is going on (of course) and accessibility is needed to block keys like 'Recent' etc.I would like to ask for your opinion, guys.
