A little research confirmed that it was Slovak politician and diplomat Miroslav Lajčák who sent these messages. He was texting Epstein about meeting Zelensky just weeks before Epstein's arrest. Lajčák resigned today as Special Advisor to Robert Fico due to…
More Lajčák. Asking Epstein for career advice on whether to pursue NATO Deputy Secretary General position. Later, Epstein asked Steve Bannon whether Lajčák should approach Bolton or Pompeo to help push his NATO candidacy.
April 2019: Lajčák tells Epstein about the possibility
June 2019: Epstein coordinates with Bannon on how to push Lajčák's candidacy
July 6, 2019: Epstein arrested
July 17, 2019: NATO announces Mircea Geoană (Romania) gets the job Lajčák was hoping for
Did... Did Epstein's arrest kill Lajčák's candidacy? If the Trump administration (Bolton/Pompeo) had been receiving lobbying from Epstein on Lajčák's behalf, his arrest would have made that support radioactive overnight. Child sex trafficker was actively lobbying to place his close friend into the #2 position at NATO. Wonderful.
Also, interesting messages re: Zelensky election in April 2019. He had not even been inaugurated yet. Epstein coaching the OSCE Chairman to position himself as a handler for the incoming Ukrainian president. Two weeks later, Epstein told Larry Summers that Zelensky was "looking for help"

The picture that emerges here is that Epstein was grooming Lajčák to be his Zelensky liaison for whatever purpose, and that Stoltenberg had already tapped Lajčák to be his Deputy and only Epstein's arrest prevented this from happening... If Lajčák had become NATO Deputy SecGen while maintaining his relationship with Epstein, you'd have had a child trafficker who has a deep personal friendship with NATO's #2, an established trafficking pipeline in Ukraine and direct access to an "inexperienced" new president Zelensky "looking for guidance"

The guy who was giving Epstein advice on how to exploit jurisdictional differences in age of consent laws to have sex with minors without technically violating federal trafficking statutes was "Associate Counsel and Special Assistant to the President" during Trump's first term and is currently on the board of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Just used his Harvard Law School .edu email address to talk about this, too. No fucks given

But hey, it's a bipartisan thing. Epstein was also given legal advice on child trafficking by Obama's White House Counsel (who is currently Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of Goldman Sachs)

Most Starlink terminals in the SMO zone have stopped working, including the Ukrainian ones. But the Ukrainian ones will start working again when Musk has finished implementing the whitelist mechanism that will only allow the AFU to use Starlink.
Relying on the American military-industrial complex (of which Elon Musk is a representative) not to fuck you over when you're literally at war with them is one of the most baffling decisions (or, non-decisions) of recent years. Just believing that SpaceX would never bother disabling Russian pirate Starlink access. Crazy.
There are backup systems for all the military comms that use it, but when Starlink is back online for the AFU there's gonna be a month or so of Ukrainian drone dominance while the Russian side implements the replacement mechanisms, and a pretty severe hit to Russian trench morale with no movie streaming or multiplayer video games.
If the Starlink verification mechanism runs through the Ukrainian "Diia" government app and is not centralized through the AFU, then all the Ukrainian citizens on Russia-controlled territory with working Diia apps are about to make the big bucks.

Zelensky just said that Ukrainian casualties for the entire war are 55,000 dead. That's about how many Russians they officially claim to kill every month. And people are going to repeat all that with a straight face.
It makes sense if he just didn’t count the goyim, though.

Gen. Alekseev survived an assassination attempt. You may remember him from that fateful talk with Prigozhin in Rostov-on-Don...
Alekseev has been sanctioned by the West for just about everything. But why could an assassin get to him?
Also: nukes are now legal. Electricity in Ukraine is not.

Footage of the would-be assassin being returned to Russia from Dubai. His name is Lyubomir Korba, he was born in Ternopol oblast, western Ukraine, in 1960. He acquired Russian citizenship recently. After the shooting, he immediately boarded a plane to Dubai, but was identified quickly enough to make an extradition request before he left again; Emirati authorities detained him. Korba acted on the orders of Ukrainian intelligence services.
Also arrested was his suspected accomplice, Viktor Vasin, age 66, a Russian citizen and long-time acquaintance and former business partner of Korba's. Authorities have not commented on this but according to some cursory OSINT by others he appears to be in significant financial trouble/debt and has a history of anti-government remarks online.
A third suspect/accomplice, Zinaida Serebritskaya, was identified as well, but she managed to flee Russia and is now presumed to be in Ukraine.
Korba used a suppressed Makarov pistol to shoot General Alekseev thrice, then he ditched the gun while fleeing the scene.

I don't want to comment too much on the security measures — they surely know what they're doing better than I do, and what went wrong — but I do seriously admire General Alekseev. He literally only survived because after being shot in the back twice, point-blank, he turned around and started beating the shit out of the shooter, was shot a third time during the scuffle but kept fighting, making the assassin flee prematurely. Immense balls on that man. 65 years old

People in Dnepropetrovsk protesting because there has been no electricity all day. I wonder what they are thinking. How do they imagine electricity will come back if they block the roads? What's the mechanism here?

On the latest Russian government censorship craze (trying to ban Telegram — again)
I am against it for one simple reason: it makes your own side silent and weak. You HAVE to have a presence on foreign platforms — and the more, the better. Even putting aside that Durov's platform may have been fully Russian anyway, and that it IS the most popular platform Russians use daily. "Security concerns" need to be dealt with without shooting yourself in the dick.
The Chinese model, where people are content with WeChat or whatever, is actually TERRIBLE. All it means is that the Chinese have ZERO reach on Foreign platforms, for no good reason.
The Good News is that no matter how much Roskomnadzor huffs and puffs, it will never succeed in whatever it’s trying to do. They already failed to ban Telegram 8 years ago; they will fail now as well. Russians will (and already have) develop a million ways to overcome it.
And now, here are some Nazbols locking up the doors to this e-censorship ministry with a bicycle lock this morning.

St. Petersburg shares that all-European vibe in architecture, but it's also full of decidedly Russian daring and a specific kind of melancholia. The place can feel haunted and brooding, but whatever it is, it's certainly not boring. Feels downright otherworldly at times.

Can't believe that a bunch of Amazonians with poison dart blow tubes barged into Russia's Arctic penal colony IK-3 "Kharp" to kill Alexey Navalny... What did he ever do to them?
On a serious note, you'd have to be braindead to believe anything that the UK says. The phrase "British scientists" is a decades-old meme in Russia for a reason!
