I've seen the milky way at maybe a 10th of this intensity only a handful of times in my life because of how intense light pollution is even out in the boonies but being able to see this every night would be enough alone for me to adopt an Uncle Ted lifestyle. I get that medieval peasants didn't have modern medicine or technology or anything but surely falling asleep to this every night must have made life feel magical right?
