kinda insane that americans don't care about their tax money being wasted on manufacturing extremely complex and expensive military hardware that will see zero use and get degraded in the back of a warehouse and be degraded over time but they get mad about tax money being spent on increasing education and literacy that can actually end up creating services and products that can increase their literal quality of life
