Right-wing TV hosts now suggesting to millions of people that mentally ill people who commit (petty) crimes should be given an "involuntary lethal injection or something. Just kill them"

Imagine the state determines you are mentally ill (anything from ADHD to schizophrenia) and you steal a loaf of bread because you are starving and have no way to get food. "Moderate" rightwingers want to have you executed for this. They want to give petty criminals the same treatment reserved for murderers.

These are animals, their mask has slipped.

This is in stark contrast to the typical punishment child rapists get in red states: usually 4 years in prison at most.

The right-wing Utah parole board grants parole to a predator, Harold Thomas Cameron, who repeatedly sexually assaulted multiple children.

The offender will be released from prison after serving 5 years of his 50 year sentence.

This is despite the victims stating (in the parole board's own words): "The victims expresses significant impact, financially, emotionally or physically, and do not support release."

This is also despite the offender stating:

"I'm not sure I'll ever be okay"
"I'm afraid to be released because of what I have done"
"I'm afraid there is no help for me, that I am broken and twisted and tainted beyond repair"
"I really feel like I'm broken beyond repair"

The parole board also states: "Your risk or ongoing behavior warrants additional incarceration" in the same report that granted the offender parole.
