Apparently, the mass murders have already started, one surgeon from Tehran under conditions of anonymity has attested to more than 217+ dead people in 6 hospitals in Tehran, almost all killed with live rounds.

There's likely at least more than 500 dead nationally, quite possibly more than 1000 dead by now.

The issue is, the government has shut down landlines, SMS, internet and every single communication channel. The mass murders aren't causing panic amongst the protesters because no one knows how many people are being killed.

Feels very surreal, even 100 years ago, news of protest and government suppression was transmitted via telegraphs, but there's essentially zero channels of communication left in the country.

The national TV station itself didn't have access to the internet, they were literally browsing the news from two(2) government news agencies while they were LIVE in order to curate the news.
