THE LEAP
- BILL HOPKINS
First published in 1957 as "The Divine and The Decay" - its publishers, MacGibbon and Kee, pulped all remaining copies of it when there was a complaint about its fascist themes.

There was a lot of interest in this book. What I didn't say, is that Bill Hopkins had pasted a review of his novel, with his hand written response, on the inside board of my copy. I will upload this soon, as well as Colin Wilsons' introduction, to illustrate why it caused so much outrage when it was released.
Because the book is so difficult to find, when I get time after Christmas, I will also scan and upload it so people can read it in pdf form.

As promised: The review of Bill Hopkins' - "The Leap" and his hand-written note.
It reads ...
"Review published in the literary quarterly 'Abraxas' and reprinted as a magazine circulation 'flyer', from winter number 1993/1994. It is an excerpt from the reviewer's impending critical book "The Outliers", apparently bringing together a miscellany of firebrand and revolutionary thinkers -- all to some extent notorious -- with a chapter on me as one of the 1950's "Angry Young Men".
