A web with no interaction 🕷️ A pile of static pages linked together by hyperlinks. Made for a sole purpose - easier access to information, aka "Read-Only" Internet. How did things get from there to here? Wait for future posts 🤖

Today we wanted to talk about KYC 🤗 Know Your Customer is a method to identify who you are using personally identifiable information 💳 It helps companies to check if this is the right person and allows consumers to create a safe and reliable environment for different activities with the company 💰

With Web 2⃣, the focus of the Internet shifted from presenting information to making user and web interactions simpler and friendlier 💻 Online tools made it easy to create and discover content created by other users! As the Internet became less costly and grew in popularity, the proportion of published materials shifted in favor of user-generated content 📸 Existing social networks emerged around this period. These websites allowed users to connect with their friends and build large communities 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Allowing users to share their ideas turned the end users from consumers of the Web to its contributors!

It’s time for a short history lesson about Cryptocurrency👏🏼

🔹1998-2009 Bitcoin is the first established cryptocurrency but there had been previous attempts like B-money and Bit Gold but never fully developed.
🔹2009 The Bitcoin software is made available to the public for the first time.
🔹2010 Bitcoin is valued for the first time. Someone decided to swap 10,000 of them for two pizzas🍕
🔹2013 Bitcoin reaches 1,000$ for the first time. The price quickly begins to decline to around 300$. After two years it reached 1000$ again.
🔹2016 Ethereum platform uses cryptocurrency known as Ether to facilitate blockchain-based smart contracts and apps.
🔹2017 Bitcoin reaches $10,000 and continues to grow.
