Legislative Update: Week of Jan. 29, 2024
Defining "vaccines" and no CDC or WHO mandates in NH
Wednesday, January 31st, N.H. Senate
Health and Human Services
SH, Room 100
⭐️ 10:00 a.m. – OPPOSE–SB559
This bill seeks to redefine the term “vaccine” because according to current definition, the state of NH illegally purchased the COVID-19 “vaccines”. According to this proposed definition, any “vaccine” that is approved by the FDA, will be approved for the NH vaccine association purchasing program. The FDA approval can include the conditional approval of emergency use authorization, which has a significantly lower safety threshold than licensure vs. full licensure, which requires clinical trials.

Friday, February 2nd, N.H. House
State and Federal Relations
LOB, Room 206-208
⭐️ 9:15 a.m. – SUPPORT –HB1156
This bill prohibits the state and it’s localities from enforcing any regulations or mandates set forth by the CDC and WHO. It would be very helpful if you shared with the committee either via email or in person some of the many times that the CDC and WHO gave incorrect guidance and information.

Testimony on SB573, a bill relative to parental consent for medical and mental health care, contained an interesting revelation from Ms. Lynn Stanley, the executive director of the NH chapter of National Association of Social Workers. Ms. Stanley opposed this bill, saying it would have a "chilling effect" on social workers in the schools who may not be able to perform an assessment unapproved by a parent. But if there is a "chilling effect," then presumably social workers are already doing this... a practice which is contrary to federal law.

Parental Consent to Medical and Mental Health Care in Schools - Granite Grok
Dear Ms. Stanley, I came to the State House to testify at the hearing on SB573 which is an act relative to parental consent for medical care. SB573 would add a new RSA by adding a new Chapter, Parental Consent to Medical and Mental Health Care. Within SB573…

There seem to be a good number of people on the Right who seem ambivalent about these healthcare clinics in schools. I think most people just don't understand the agenda at play and what is at stake. So here's a quick thread to clue in your friends on this issue:

Schools are for education, not healthcare! As we have added to the mission of schools, we have seen how it diluted the education. As a result, we have worse and worse outcomes. Stop the mission creep in public schools, and stop corporatist actors from profiting off a position of near monopoly and privilege.

This bill, HB1002, flew under our radar, unfortunately. The NH House just passed this bill which would allow the government to charge citizens for 91A "right to know" requests. This is an unacceptable move that will severely limit citizen efforts at government transparency and accountability, and we will be coming out strong against it once it crosses over to the Senate. Here are all the knucklehead Republicans who voted for this bill (as well as a link to the full roll call vote). It truly was a bipartisan effort to limit government transparency.

Rep. Lisa Smart (R-Meredith) has requested reconsideration on HB1002, the bill that, if signed into law, would allow governments to charge citizens for Right to Know requests. This means that there will be another floor vote. If it fails on reconsideration, the bill will go to the Senate. If it passes on reconsideration, we have a shot at killing it with an ITL motion on the floor.
