This morning the House Special Committee on DCYF, chaired by Rep. Leah Cushman, required every person testifying to take an oath before giving their testimony. This is unusual for House committees, but it is in statute and is therefore within the rights of the People's representatives to do so. With the level of outright lying we've seen on other committees (ahem, executive departments testifying in front of the HHS committee), thanks should go to the Republican representatives insisting on truthfulness. On the other hand, Democrat members objected to this move, calling a requirement that people testifying tell the truth "insulting."

UK has always had the best COVID data. And it is showing incredible death, especially among those with 4 doses or more. 80 percent of COVID deaths last year were among the 4x vaxxed. Only 5 percent of deaths were unvaccinated. If this isn't evidence to pull this bioweapon from the market, I don't know what is.

Good news. HB 1002 (which would allow govt entities to charge for Right to Know requests) is dead. Sent to interim study.

More good news today: HB 1610 (the bill to force testing on kids in "all learning environments") was voted ITL ("inexpedient to legislate") by the committee, and it was placed on the Consent Calendar. That means that unless a rep pulls it off Consent on the floor and subjects it to its own floor vote, it will die. Well done, folks!

Keep the good news coming! HB 1194, which prevents the government from adding non-communicable disease vaccines to the childhood school mandate schedule, has passed the House. On to the Senate!

This image was spotted at one of California's School-Based Healthcare Clinics. They are coming after our kids for profit, and they aren't even ashamed of it. Another "public-private partnership" situation gone awry.

HB 1012, Rep. Leah Cushman's bill exempting from criminal penalty certain parenting decisions intended to encourage a child's independence and freedom, has been voted OTP-A (ought to pass with amendment) out of committee, and has been placed on the consent calendar. Unfortunately, the amended version of the bill has really undercut the intent of the bill. It doesn't seem to provide much protection to parents, given how totally subjective the bill language is now ("reasonable risks to further their development as human beings" – what a parent might find reasonable DCYF might find unreasonable). Let's hope that the Senate recognizes this problem and adds back in more protections for parents.
The 5th Circuit has reversed an injunction against a Texas law that mandates age verification for online porn access.

This decision has farther-reaching implications because it reinforced that the the state has a rational, constitutional interest in controlling minors’ access to obscene materials on the Internet. And further, if the state has a rational, constitutional interest in controlling minors’ access to obscene materials on the Internet, how much more obviously rational is the state’s interest in protecting kids the very same way in the school library? Finally a breath of common sense when it comes to pushing back on the Left's assaults against our childrens' innocence.

A North Carolina appeals court has ruled that the PREP Act as a get-out-of-jail free card for anyone connected with the Covid shots. Similar actions have come out of Kansas and Oklahoma courts. By all accounts, the PREP Act appears to be an airtight shield against lawsuits.

Rep. Leah Cushman responds to the Union Leader's editorial criticizing her decision to require an oath before testifying on the DCYF special investigative committee.
https://www.unionleader.com/opinion/op-eds/rep-leah-p-cushman-oath-is-commitment-to-truthfulness-and-accountability/article_45072610-dc92-11ee-af0b-9fdb3e39ed41.html

"...Requesting everyone who comes to provide testimony on this grave matter to swear an oath is a principled and measured approach aimed to uphold the integrity of the proceedings and ensure the most accurate information needed to inform the work of the Legislature. It is one of the few tools legislators have in their tool box to help protect the rights and liberties of the people. Rather than undermine the credibility of the process, it serves to underscore it and reaffirm the Legislature’s commitment to transparency and accountability."

Unfortunately, Rep. Cushman was stripped of her chairmanship and position on the committee by the Speaker last week over this decision. Government transparency requires truthfulness, and it's a shame the Speaker doesn't share her commitment to serious, truthful inquiry on behalf of the People of NH. Hopefully he will change course and suggest that House rules be changed to normalize oaths for investigative committees in the future.

Legislative Update – Week of March 18
Full details here: https://rebuildnh.com/legislative-update-week-of-march-18th-2024/

Fees for Right to Know requests (HB1002) is back, plus a really bad child welfare bill is on deck this week (and on the Consent Calendar no less!). It adds subjective language into a determination of parental fitness, and it says that failure to cooperate with DCYF can be the basis for removal of parental rights. Help us kill this bill by emailing your senator and asking them to oppose SB417.

Find your Senator here:

Thank you to all the RebuildNH donors who made this happen. Your generosity in giving to fundraising for a previous speaker allowed us to have more funds to help with the expenses of more experts to testify.

Regarding HB1664 the NH SAFE Act [Saving Adolescents From Experimentation] the medical malpractice bill for those who want to detransition:

Last week, the UK banned all puberty blockers and hormone treatments for minors, in part because of the release of the "WPATH files."

The WPATH [World Profesional Association of Transgender Health] Files disclosed hundred of pages of confidential internal discussions among WPATH members about things like real-life de-transitioner regret, appalling side effects of hormones and surgeries, shocking failures to obtain real informed consent, and outright failure to reduce dysphoric kids’ suicidal ideation.

This news article came out yesterday. Watch the video.

LEAKED WPATH Files Reveal 'MEDICAL MALPRACTICE' On CHILDREN: Michael Shellenberger

England’s National Health Service (NHS) has stopped prescribing puberty blockers for children and young people with gender dysphoria or gender incongruence, saying there is “not enough evidence to support the safety or clinical effectiveness” of puberty-suppressing hormones.

This follows countries like Finland, Sweden, Norway, and France, who have all discouraged puberty blockers under the age of 18.
