Did you know that on May 1 the CDC stopped counting cases among the vaccinated unless they are hospitalized or died? So now here are some possible outcomes of the new CDC policy:
Person A has not been vaccinated. They test positive for Covid using a PCR test at 40 cycles and, despite having no symptoms, they are officially a “covid case”.
Person B has been vaccinated. They test positive at 28 cycles, and spend six weeks bedridden with a high fever. Because they never went into a hospital and didn’t die they are NOT a Covid case.
Person C, who was also vaccinated, did die. After weeks in hospital with a high fever and respiratory problems. Only their positive PCR test was 29 cycles, so they’re not officially a Covid case either.

Latest: Senate Finance has voted to *remove* this House provision imposing legislative oversight over the gov's emergency powers. But that doesn't mean they won't pass it; the same measure is currently living in HB 417, which hasn't had a Senate floor vote…
In a bit of good news, Democrats introduced an amendment to remove the language contained in HB 63 from the budget, and that motion to remove HB 2 Section 332 failed by a vote of 2-5. That means that the budget will continue to include language that restores fines paid by businesses for violating emergency orders.
