Thanks everyone who testified today! Please keep up the pressure on the Committees highlighted in our email yesterday.
BREAKING NEWS: This is a constitutional crisis! Whomever is responsible for adding the governor’s unlawful emergency orders to the state’s online law record has improperly elevated them to something they’re not. Emergency orders are not laws, but adding them to the state’s law site misleads the public into thinking that they are, when in fact they are just arbitrary and unconstitutional edicts from the executive branch.

Governors and legislatures in many other states are doing what Gov. Sununu and the NH legislature have not yet done. Let your legislators know what their counterparts around the country are doing, and ask them to support hcr2.

UPDATE ON CURRENT PROGRESS:

I've heard through the grapevine from some of the grapes that March 26 is the end, but I personally don't believe what I heard. I think HB 63, HCR 2 and one of the bills to amend the SOE laws for future SOEs are essential to prevent this from coming back again. We're not going to get everything we want this year–due to veto threats, but I'm still counting on the public outcry we've been trying to organize through ReopenNH and RebuildNH will help get us over that hump. We need to keep the pressure up, increase the pressure and build the pressure. It needs to be a constant drumbeat coming from our side to counter the propaganda narrative.

HB 63 passed the House and is going to pass Finance Committee. Making sure it gets passed through the House again is critical. It’s a bill that requires two committees because it has a financial component.

HCR 2 is in committee and we’re still waiting on what they’re going to do with it.

Of the other SOE bills to amend the law, I’ve heard that one will pass this year with basic provisions and then another will be retained so that we can do a second bill next year. This is one of those things that will likely need support of the public to keep our squishy reps on the right side of the vote.

We have a list of Republican reps who voted against HB 63. Those reps need to be bombarded with phone calls and emails. That went out in our last email, but we’ll send it out again. Subject of the email is “🗣 Tomorrow! Public Hearing to End State of Emergency.”

The Roll Call Is In: Here are the N.H. House Republicans Who Voted Against N.H. Businesses

Here is the list of N.H. House Republican representatives who voted against HB 63, the bill that would discourage the Executive Branch from enforcing the governor's emergency orders, annul arrests or criminal convictions or violations of emergency orders, and refund fines paid. Just so it's clear, these are the anti-business Republicans who apparently need to be reminded who they work for. Please be respectful when you call or email these representatives and let them know what you think of their vote:
