I'm totally devastated by the drop of understanding of the local legal and cultural status of non-heteronormative people over here, especially going down since 2019's signing of LGBT+ rights bill by Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski. Since February 2019, a third of Poland became LGBT-free zones, and all sorts of right wing politicians and catholic church officials joined the fight against the imaginary LGBT "ideology". Not to say that the EU condemns anything like that.
Yesterday, an anarchist queer activist, Margot, was arrested by police for two months, presumably for damaging an anti-abortion van, though her group, Stop Bzdurom (Stop Bullshit), had been part of the rainbow flag sticking action onto monuments in the City of Warsaw. And Margot wasn't the only one to be arrested lately for pro-LGBT happenings.
As of 2020, Poland is considered to be the least friendly to LGBT people country in the EU.
I bet some of you will be like "how could I help anyone in Poland go through this tough times with discriminatory laws and bullshit government". Don't worry. We have prolific pro-LGBT NGOs you can donate here and now to make sure, that Polish citizens eventually get proper teaching on what LGBT really is (we're people, and we just want to live just like the heteronormative majority with all the rights they have from the get go).

An extremely heavy-handed violent authoritarian lockdown is underway all over Belarus right now, the night after national elections which saw dicatator Alexander Lukashenko reelected by an extremely wide margin, according to official numbers just released.

Teargas has been deployed in several cities, huge amounts of heavy military equipment including tanks have been brought into the capitol, Minsk, where roadblocks prohibit any leaving or entering the city. Reports of mass detentions and arrests are starting to flow in, but the night is only getting started there.

Internet and television blackouts are rolling across the country, so documentation is scarce. One source of up to date news is an independent blogger's telegram channel: @nexta_live.

You can find updates on what's happening in Belarus here. The police is cracking down on peaceful protesters, throwing explosives and injuring them. A police truck has hit the a man. Water cannons have been deployed. I repeat that this is against peaceful protesters. As you can see in the video, they're literally just holding their phones with the flashlight on.

The struggle against police brutality is a global struggle, and so is the struggle against fascism and authoritarian governments in general.

Also, I just want to say a huge "Fuck You" to all the tankies and the authoritarian stalinists who approve of Lukashenko's actions. These people might claim to be socialist but don't be mistaken. They are just Red Fascists who love violence. End of the story. You are the scum of the Left and I pray for the day when you'll be long gone. Left Unity my ass. There's no Unity with people that have more in common with Mussolini than they have with Italian partisans.

Hugel has produced some of the biggest low / no care gardening yields I've ever seen in person. If you have room / yard space it's an excellent way to garden.

Holds moisture well and nutrients. If you are busy, low budget, or a forgetful gardener I would highly recommend.
