I'd like to make a comment about electoralism, as a Bookchinite Communalist. Yes, we've been beaten on the national scale. Yes, this loss is a devastating blow to many, particularly those suffering under debt. However, when we look at Bernie Sanders, we should remember one of the places where he was most successful: Burlington, Vermont. Local governments are where the real power of libertarian left organizing lies. Bookchin himself advocated that communalists should run for local office, as that is where we will best be able to create municipalities based on popular assembly. It's also where we will find the most success in acclimating people to public ownership of our infrastructure. The national fight is over, but hte local fight is just beginning.

Question: Is there anyone who associates with Solarpunk anymore who isn't a Bookchinite? The two seem pretty inescapably related.
