Art is an act of resistance against capitalism in that the artist is both the beginning and end of their own supply chain, and therefore lacks much of the alienation inherent to other forms of creation. Of course, some arts are more liberated from supply chains than others, and this is, in my mind, likely why we're so willing to dismiss certain arts, such as oral storytelling, as primitive.
I think this is a useful analogy for climate change, but I also think it leans a little too heavy into climate pessimism for me.
Like, I love that it points blame where blame is due, but also, this sort of thing is just gonna end up fueling the climate doomers, you know? Earth's not completely fucked and we still have plenty we can do to make life on Earth actually pretty pleasant for future generations, and I get annoyed by the whole "we're already dead" narrative that so many people (liberals, usually) like to take. Remember who that messaging benefits. (Hint: they're wearing a hat in the cartoon.)

Live in Joy:
1. Remember that anyone who thinks enjoyment is a waste of time is out to starve you
2. Write like hell
3. Get new music (from people, not from machines)
4. Move on
5. Drink tea
6. Meditate
7. Remember to hope
8. Think about your future sometimes
9. Unclench your jaw
10. Don't doubt, you've only just begun
11. Clean, there's always something dirty
12. Sing in empty rooms
13. Sing in not empty rooms
14. Everything is cringe, do whatever you want regardless
15. Read
16. Binge Wikipedia
17. Eat, even on the bad days
18. Call your friends, even while sober
19. Sleep when you need to
20. Sleep when you want to
21. Enjoy the outdoors
22. Love everyone around you
23. Appreciate what others won't
24. Be brave
25. Be unpredictable

So I made this list of ways to increase my joy in my day-to-day life, and people seemed to be receptive to it, so here it is for all of you if anyone wants it.
I know that it's an idea that a lot of people believe in/relate to, but I feel as though a not insignificant portion of people who identify as "empaths" are just folks who have been traumatized in such a way that reading other people's emotions became of strong, self-defensive importance. Sorry if I @'d anyone with that take lol.
