Alright everyone, we gotta talk about some bad news for trans youth living in Texas. Normally the topic of politics isn't given air time here but this is very important. If you live in the US please pay attention to this story. Be warned, I'm not gonna be polite about my opinions here.

Seems Greg Abbot of the state of Texas has decided to set fire to trans rights by executive order, labeling all trans healthcare as child abuse. This will eventually extend to adults if it doesn't already. I encourage you to read this very carefully if you live in Texas, shit is about to get really bad.

Opinion time, I'm gonna get angry so I'll spoiler-wall it. (CW: blind rage)

This is war. He is declaring all trans related services as child abuse and is directing state protective services to treat any and all trans care, even therapy as child abuse. This effectively outlaws being trans in his state. If you live in Texas as a minor or even as an adult, your well-being is now in danger.

My unapologetic advice is to take advantage of loosened gun laws and arm yourself to the fucking teeth, take self defense courses and do not hesitate to protect yourself if you feel your life is in danger. Failing that, get the fuck out right now. If you have the resources to do so, bail and don't look back.

Far as I'm concerned, Texas is no longer safe to be in.

If you are stuck there and are of voting age, MAKE SURE YOU ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE FOR FUCKS SAKE. Vote in every single election against this shit.

Seems people aren't terribly thrilled about this, a legal battle is definitely going to happen in the future.
