Every year on this Hebrew date (14 Nisan), millions of Jews celebrate the Passover holiday at our homes, our synagogues/temples, and our community centers. We recite the Passover Haggadah (legend), in which our ancestors were liberated from slavery. Where the enslaved peoples became a people.
In the left-wing Jewish tradition, especially that of the Bundists but also later of the Mizrahi-Sephardic Black Panthers, Passover is to be celebrated as not just an antiquated holiday of a nationalist legend - But a holiday calling for the deliverance and liberation for all peoples, and the struggle against all forms of oppression. A holiday of solidarity, freedom, and internationalism 🚩
