I do not have much money right now, but I can help find assistance with airfare, I can provide a spare room with bed, lovingly home cooked food, and car travel to and from airports and appointments. Part of the reason why Republicans, by and large, are moving towards fascism while democrats remain complacent and moderate is how they assign legitimacy. While one can be a RINO (Republican In Name Only) for being too moderate, there is no similar limit on being too far right. Thus, legitimacy derives from being as right wing as possible. In the democratic party the issue is the opposite, where the left-leaning element of the party proactively distances themselves from the more moderate wing, thus allowing the legitimacy of the centrist element to go largely unquestioned.
