On the actual content of his proposal, it's a mixed bag. I think the whole paying cops extra thing isn't going to solve any problems, but I do agree with ending protections to stop officers from facing consequences, as well as the emphasis on using non-violent responders instead whenever possible.

That being said, mere police reform might not be enough, I've reached the point where I'd advocate replacing all of our current policing institutions in favor of more community oriented organizations.

Bernie, just start protesting with us. It will do more at this point.
