The leftist counterpart to the normally apolitical Found. Openly a psyop.

So, I know a lot of you have poor opinions on voting, and for understandable reasons, but it's the time of the year where I have to emphasize that voting for county, city, and state level positions and policy changes DOES have an impact. It's also worth mentioning that there isn't intense voter suppression for no reason. Conservatives aren't stupid. They know EXACTLY what they're doing.

Such an example I just came across is from the Vice article "Tens of Thousands of Trans People Could Be Barred From Voting Against Anti-Trans Politicians"

The numbers show that trans votes have the potential to swing tight races. According to the UCLA study, President Joe Biden won by 11,779 votes in Georgia, a state where there are an estimated 17,200 eligible trans voters. The study also noted that the 2000 presidential election was decided in Florida by a few hundred votes—and there are as many as 30,300 eligible trans voters in Florida who don’t have accurate IDs.

“This isn’t a small group you can dismiss,” O’Neill said.

With less than two weeks until the midterms, there remains a series of barriers that make it hard for trans folks to cast their ballots, including issues with updating IDs, strict voter ID laws in some states, and incidents of anti-trans harassment and intimidation at the polls that could deter them from voting. This, at a time when they’re being directly targeted by conservative policymakers across the country.

States with the strictest policies, including Tennessee and Georgia, require voters to present photo identification, with few or no alternative ways to verify their identity. Both states are known for anti-trans hostility.

Voting is literally the least you can do, and part of the activism that needs doing is combatting voter suppression. Again, conservatives would not divert so many resources towards propaganda and voter suppression if there wasn't a point, and they have obviously used this as a method of control for a long fucking time. Puffing up and proudly announcing how useless you think voting is and that you consider it to be compromising your morals does not do anything. Vote and engage in direct action, even if that direct action means working towards fighting voter suppression.

For those of you still using Chrome, it is strongly recommended to switch to Firefox. Not only does it track you across the web, it also is the most vulnerable browser available https://bgr.com/tech/google-chrome-is-the-most-vulnerable-browser-in-the-world/

The fundamental flaw with online discourse is that the most prominent voices are nearly always the most detached from reality
Basically this, but replace "thinks" "think" and "thoughts" with "tweets" "tweet" and "tweets" or whatever means of communication applies best to your current favorite politics shitposter
Now this begs the question, should you include me in the list of hacks exploiting politics for social capital and becoming increasingly detached from reality while doing so?
And the answer is yes!

"But when Thatcher took office in 1979, taxes in the U.K. were about 30 percent of GDP, and when she left office in 1992 they were about 30 percent of GDP; Thatcher had actually raised taxes considerably in her first term, only bringing them back down later. In fact, the argument that tax cuts would automatically bring economic growth had not gained much credibility in the U.K. at the time, as Thatcher’s Chancellor Geoffrey Howe later noted: “My Treasury team and I had never succumbed — never seriously anyway — to the mistaken interpretations of Lafferism, which have led some U.S. policymakers so far astray.” Supply-side economics was never a big part of Thatcher’s economic policies, which were about privatization and council house sales instead. Truss’ attempts to pass off her tax cut folly as Thatcherism show not only that Truss did not understand economics, but also that she did not understand Thatcherism."
