Actually a huge advocate for leather goods here. Like, don't get me wrong, the cattle industry is an environmental catastrophe and you should avoid buying new leather goods whenever possible, but A) That shit is durable as all hell, buy a used leather good that's in good shape, and you'll get years of utility out of it with minimal repair. B) Leatherworking is a valuable and important working class artistic medium that's often overlooked due to its connotations with laborers and work. That shit rules, appreciate your local leatherworkers for preserving that medium, even as we explore ethical alternatives to cattle leather (things like fungi leather, perhaps, not pleather. That shit sucks)
