The Bioregions 2020 world map might be one of the most amazing maps I’ve ever seen.
One Earth broke down the entire land area into 185 discrete bioregions organized within the world’s major biogeographical realms.
It’s a lot of fun and really educational to zoom in and see how they define different realms and biomes.

Friendly reminder that Andrew Yang turning out to be really cringe doesn't mean UBI is a bad idea

Can everyone stop being fucking babies about eating bug products? It's normal in a bunch of cultures, and yeah, it actually will take a lot of the toll of livestock production on the environment away.

A lot of people look at the fact that 3 and 4 day work weeks are more efficient and act baffled that more companies haven't implemented them. They're missing the point. A lot of companies already know this, and have known for a while. I grew up in a wealthier area, and I can tell you right now that the 3 day work week has long been a thing for workers with seniority or privilege. The reason why those privileges aren't extended further down the ladder is simple: Corporate existence needs to justify its hierarchies. While it would doubtlessly be more efficient to pay workers more to work less, the worker MUST be in an uncomfortable existence, otherwise the capitalist drive for constant self-advancement loses one of its primary motivators. The whole corporate model runs on this ideology that the lower tiers must be uncomfortable, because the corporation needs workers to strive for better to remain ideologically functional.
