Anyway, I've been thinking a lot about the need for young people to identify with things. Younger people have an increased interest in astrology, and seemingly care more about generational divisions than ever before. I've found that many people my age (myself included) tend to send memes and such while saying "this is me." What makes us so driven by the need to identify with things? Discuss.
Personally, I think that with the decline of major identifiers like subcultures, religion, etc. people feel more driven to patchwork an identity, instead of joining one, but that's just my take
