Definitely has nothing to do with there being nowhere to go out to that doesn't cost a lot of money in a world where most people are struggling to get by on subsistence wages as adults and teens get paid almost nothing after the expense of commuting is taken into account. Damn near paying to work and trading their last years childhood to do so.

Today's rant: Stop moralizing everything you consume

I'm taking this one from a literature point of view, because that's what I'm most familiar with. The number of people I know who get weird and judgy about books and "whether or not they should be read" because of "problematic" material is ridiculous. Yes, many fantastic books feature reprehensible characters. Yes, this even includes abusers, rapists and murderers. But those people, as awful as they are, exist and have stories to tell. You can learn a lot about the human condition from reading both the good and the bad. Take your purity culture elsewhere, let me have my fucked up little guys >:(

Honestly, I feel as though the main thesis for this entire channel is "the human condition is a very messy thing, and us leftists have to acknowledge that to make any progress"
