To all the people who today feel the need to spread fear and alarm about Donald Trump's inauguration:

It's perfectly fine for you to express yourself, but if you do it to mobilize people on the left, keep in mind that fear and alarm do not necessarily lead to mobilization.

In the face of danger, the instinctive reactions are: fight, flight or hide.

If you don't want people to flee or hide, perhaps it's better to think about how to communicate without using fear as a lever.

I don't think it's wrong to make fun of how idiotic and meaningless the positions of fascism are, but the poster is correct in reminding us that calling them "dumdum doodoo heads" or whatever isn't gonna change anything in isolation

Make fun of them, but also hit them with bricks!
