Friendly reminder that the whole "trad wife" fantasy of never doing labor besides raising families and domestic upkeep literally was never the norm outside the upper and middle classes.
Women have always been a part of the workforce, it's just you don't care about seamstresses, alewives, tavern girls, milk maids etc.
