PSA - IMPORTANT FOR CHANNEL OWNERS
there is a scheme going around, the average claim is that there are "ukrainian nazis" trying to hack LGBTQ channels by using "private channel IDs" or something like that. random users will text you offering to help and the solution they propose is to add a sketchy bot that claims to "hide your channel ID". that is a SCAM and you should NEVER in ANY circumstances add a random bot to your channel. even if it seems to be safe in a separate testing channel, do not do that!
the people doing this are the actual homophobes trying to hack your channel. if someone texts you out of nowhere for something that sounds like this scheme, block and report

history of "queer" and role of exclusionary radfems in sullying its use

Like these posts, but want to add on that radfem =/= equal terf
In all honesty, I dislike the term terf (even though I still use it lol) because it presents trans exclusion as a property exclusive to radfems. While there certainly are radfems who are transphobic, (and some big names as well) let's be so for real, liberal feminists (such as JKR) are almost always the biggest offenders

To quote Gillian Branstetter:
"Trans exclusion is more often a shortcoming of liberal feminism than an excess of radical feminism"

This statement about the transphobic Supreme Court ruling by the UK's Crab Museum (yes a museum about crabs) is better than 99% of the statements I've seen on the topic

A question of definitions: What is fascism?
Gonna start off by saying that this is a HOTLY contested academic subject, and that my take is in no way authoritative. It's easy to see why it's such a cause for argument too, as the "fascistic-ness" of many regimes labelled as fascist has been disputed, and while those regimes often have common qualities (emphasis on nativism, almost messianic leader worship, etc.) they've varied significantly on policy. The hard principles of ideology for fascism, I would argue, are not what's relevant to labelling a movement fascist or what defines it as such. A better endeavor then, would be to define the fascistic impulse, as I will attempt to do in the following post.
