Leaf blowers suck - they're noisy, they use gas, they blow away leaves that could be used to return nutrients to the soil, BUT I can't argue against them being used to blow back tear gas canisters.

Really cool how in US history classes they talk about how terrible immigration was for the Irish, Jewish people and the Italians, but never mention it at any other time.

I want to reach out to you, person to person, and say I'm ready to converse with people who have recently found their "group", but their recent language and behavior is making you question it. I know this because I used to be a right winger at some point in my life. Your mind is telling you what you're saying and doing is wrong, but at the same time, the events of your life has pushed you to find a "family" that loves you, disciplines you, and cherishes you.

You've decided that that family are the fascists. I don't blame you for identifying with them, but I do blame you for continuing to do so.

Capitalism, and the fact that we're all a cog in the machine has taken away a lot of sense of community that people used to build. You might be someone who was extremely unpopular in school. You might be someone who is stuck at a minimum wage job and you're buying into the "Immigrants are destroying our opportunity" propaganda. I mean, it makes sense. It wasn't your fault to be born into the situation you were in.

We're all, deep down, are fighting the same things that have made us actually hate the system. It feels like the world is constantly against us.

I'm going to be honest with you all, the path that you have picked is only going to bring more suffering, and solidify the system that you've set out to fight against. Your fight is going to end up with more people being in your situation. Lost, lonely, and unsure where to go. It's a feeling we're all experiencing due to the alienation of us from society & nature.

If you think you want to talk about the issues of the world, or if you want to talk about how much life is painful due to the things you've seen around the world. Anonymous federal agents attacked "Portland moms" using batons and tear gas while carrying assault rifles a few hours ago.

To be clear, these are not black bloc anarchos, rioters, looters or crims out for trouble. It's peacefully protesting mums, mostly just standing there with placards.
