A message from Eli Sharabi, who survived 491 days in Hamas captivity in Gaza, on the return of his dear friend Alon Ohel, with whom he was held captive, and the remains of his brother Yossi Sharabi from captivity:

“Wow, I don’t even know where to begin.
Alon is home. Yossi, of blessed memory, is home. The hostages are home.

First, I want to bless Alon, my dear brother, who has returned home to his family, to his country. We have waited for you so long!

And tonight, the body of my dear brother Yossi, of blessed memory, has returned.
The funeral will take place in the city of Rehovot, in the country we love so much, the State of Israel.
Maybe this brings a small measure of closure to this unbearable circle, but the pain remains immeasurable.
We, the families of the fallen and the hostages who have not yet returned, will not stop.

I want to thank every person who stood by us, hugged us, and gave strength to our family.
Thank you to my brother Sharon, who worked tirelessly and paid a heavy personal price.
Thank you to everyone who shared in our grief and pain — your support helps us endure moments like these. 💛

Elkana Bohbot and David Cunio, two young fathers, were brutally kidnapped from southern Israel by Hamas terrorists on October 7, 2023.

Elkana was kidnapped from the Nova Music Festival, while David was taken from Kibbutz Nahal Oz along with his wife Sharon and their young twins, Emma and Yuli, who were released in November 2023 as part of the ceasefire–hostage release agreement.

After two long years in captivity in Gaza, Elkana and David have finally returned to the arms of their loved ones.

On October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists kidnapped Yossi Sharabi alive from Kibbutz Be’eri in southern Israel.

Yossi was brutally kidnapped from his home along with his daughter’s boyfriend, Ofir Engel, and neighbor Amit Shani. Ofir and Amit were later released as part of the November 2023 ceasefire–hostage release deal.

Yesterday, Yossi’s remains were returned to Israel from Gaza, and today his identity was officially confirmed. He was a devoted husband and father to three daughters — Yuval, Ofir, and Oren.

Tragically, on the same day, his brother Eli Sharabi was also kidnapped by Hamas. Eli survived 491 days in captivity before being released in February 2025. Sadly, Eli’s wife, Lianne, and their two daughters, Noiya and Yahel, were brutally murdered by terrorists during the October 7, 2023 Hamas massacre.

Yossi’s nephew, Idan Herman, was also murdered by Hamas while he attempted to escape the massacre at the Nova Music Festival.

Captain Daniel Peretz (22) was killed and then kidnapped on October 7, 2023, while defending against Hamas terrorists who infiltrated southern Israel together with his tank crew consisting of Tomer Leibovitz, Itay Chen, and Matan Angrest. Matan was kidnapped alive and released October 13, 2025 from captivity in Gaza. Tomer and Itay were killed during the attack, and American-Israeli Itay Chen remains in captivity in Gaza.

Now, IDF hero Captain Daniel Peretz, who bravely defended southern Israel on that horrific day, can finally be laid to rest in Israel, bringing closure to his family.

Israel confirmou oficialmente a identidade de três dos quatro reféns assassinados cujos corpos foram entregues pelo Hamas na noite de ontem (14), após dois anos em cativeiro na Faixa de Gaza.

🕯️ Uriel Baruch (35) — sequestrado e assassinado quando tentava fugir do Festival Nova em 7 de outubro de 2023.

🕯️ Tamir Nimrodi (20) — levado vivo da fronteira entre Israel e Gaza e assassinado em cativeiro.

🕯️ Eitan Levi (53) — sequestrado e assassinado por terroristas do Hamas no sul de Israel.

As autoridades israelenses também confirmaram que o quarto corpo entregue pelo Hamas não pertence a nenhum dos reféns assassinados, uma violação cruel e revoltante do acordo de cessar-fogo.

Mais de 20 reféns assassinados seguem retidos pelo Hamas na Faixa de Gaza, em mais um ato de desumanidade e descumprimento do acordo.

A memória de Uriel, Tamir e Eitan jamais será esquecida!

O ataque do Hamas em 7 de outubro de 2023 marcou o dia mais letal da história de Israel. Militantes armados atravessaram a fronteira a partir da Faixa de Gaza, mataram cerca de 1.200 pessoas — entre civis e soldados — e sequestraram 251 israelenses e estrangeiros. Desde então, a guerra resultante deixou um legado de dor e incerteza para centenas de famílias.

De acordo com o jornal The Washington Post, 83 reféns foram confirmados mortos em cativeiro e 168 foram libertados ou resgatados em diferentes momentos do conflito. Ainda há mais de 20 corpos retidos pelo Hamas na Faixa de Gaza, mesmo após a assinatura do cessar-fogo mediado por potências internacionais. O grupo terrorista violou o acordo, devolvendo apenas 7 corpos, embora tivesse se comprometido a entregar todos os reféns assassinados.

Autoridades israelenses afirmam que o atraso na devolução das vítimas não tem justificativa plausível e representa mais uma afronta à dor das famílias que há mais de um ano aguardam por respostas. As buscas seguem em meio à devastação na Faixa de Gaza, com o apoio da Cruz Vermelha e de equipes internacionais.

As famílias dos reféns — mortos e sobreviventes — tornaram-se símbolo de resiliência. Elas continuam pressionando pela devolução de todos os corpos e pela libertação dos que ainda podem estar vivos.
