THOUSANDS SUPPORT STANDWITHUS PETITION AGAINST MACCABI FANS BAN BY UK POLICE
We are proud to announce that in less than 24 hours our petition has received more than double the number of signatures gathered by Jeremy Corbyn and Ayoub Khan’s supporters in a whole month, when they launched their letter calling for the match to be cancelled.
StandWithUs UK has led a petition signed by thousands of people demanding that the police reverse their decision to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv fans from attending their upcoming match against Aston Villa in Birmingham this November. The police have stated that they cannot guarantee the safety of Israeli fans.
We welcome the response from the Prime Minister and look forward to seeing a swift reversal of this decision.
However, this initial decision should concern every decent and law abiding citizen of the United Kingdom. The police have effectively admitted that they cannot protect Israelis and Jews from violence in the country’s second largest city.
Once again, the police appear to target the victim rather than the aggressor. If the police are being intimidated by violent groups, that is first and foremost a national problem, not merely a Jewish one.
Unless something changes seriously in the attitude of law enforcement, this country will continue down a very dangerous path where fear and prejudice replace justice and equality.
StandWithUs UK will continue to call on the authorities to ensure that safety and fairness are upheld for all, without discrimination.

⚠️ BBC apologises for breaching broadcasting rules
Ofcom has ruled that the BBC’s documentary Gaza: How To Survive A Warzone breached broadcasting rules by failing to disclose that its 13‑year‑old narrator was the son of a Hamas deputy minister.
The regulator described the omission as “materially misleading,” and has ordered the BBC to air a statement of its findings. The BBC has accepted the decision and acknowledged “serious flaws” in the production’s editorial process.
When trust in journalism is broken, it damages public understanding and distorts the truth, especially in times of conflict, when clarity and honesty matter most!

This week, we finalised our second annual Stories of Resilience tour, bringing four witnesses from Israel to share first-hand testimonies from the October 7th massacre and its aftermath.
Across 19 events in and outside London, the delegation reached more than 3,350 attendees, including schools, synagogues, and universities nationwide.
This year’s delegation featured Shir, a survivor of the Nova festival; Shani and Yonatan, IDF soldiers who fought on October 7th; and Foaad, an Arab-Israeli who spoke about unity between Muslims and Jews. Their stories moved audiences and inspired reflection.
Through our October 7 Education Centre, we will continue to confront denial and preserve the memory of 7/10 🇮🇱

The mother of the kidnapped and murdered hostage Inbar Hayman eulogized her at her funeral. Inbar was returned to Israel on October 15 after more than two years in Hamas captivity in Gaza.
“I could not believe, my beautiful one, that after two years you would finally return to us. We waited a month and then another month, deal after deal — and in the end you came. Because you are the last. Because you are a person who helps everyone, who just waited until all the people of Nova would come.
My beautiful one, from my pregnancy I knew I would call you Inbar. My precious gemstone, how does a mother part from her daughter after she has raised her for 27 years?”
May her memory forever be a blessing. 🕯️

Ontem (16), a Warner Bros.

RT @EmilyDamari1: I was released from Hamas captivity in January and I am a die hard fan of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
I am shocked to my core with this outrageous decision to ban me, my family and my friends from attending an Aston Villa game in the UK.
Football is a way of bringing people together irrespective of their faith, colour or religion and this disgusting decision does the exact opposite. Shame on you.
I hope you come to your senses and reconsider.
I do wonder what exactly has become of British society, this is like putting a big sign on the outside of a stadium saying “No Jews allowed”
What has become of the UK where blatant antisemitism has become the norm?
What a sad world we are living in.
