Na quinta-feira (6), a StandWithUs Brasil realizou no Fasano Itaim, em São Paulo, o lançamento do livro “A Solidão de Israel” (Editora Contexto), com a presença do autor, o filósofo francês Bernard-Henri Lévy, que veio ao Brasil exclusivamente para a ocasião.

A obra analisa a resposta global aos ataques terroristas de 7 de outubro de 2023 e reflete sobre o isolamento enfrentado por Israel diante da indiferença internacional.

Bernard-Henri Lévy compartilhou com o público reflexões sobre o livro e o contexto geopolítico atual e, em seguida, participou de um bate-papo com o filósofo Luiz Felipe Pondé, que trouxe uma leitura filosófica e moral do momento vivido por Israel após os ataques.

Reunindo 120 convidados, entre intelectuais, jornalistas e representantes da comunidade judaica, a noite marcou o lançamento oficial do livro no Brasil e reforçou o papel da StandWithUs Brasil em promover o debate qualificado sobre o cenário do Oriente Médio e a luta contra o antissemitismo.

Um novo estudo divulgado em outubro deste ano pelo Centro Palestino de Pesquisa Política e de Opinião Pública (PCPSR), realizado presencialmente na Cisjordânia/Judeia e Samaria e na Faixa de Gaza, revelou que 53% dos palestinos ainda consideram “correta” a decisão do grupo terrorista Hamas de realizar o ataque de 7 de outubro de 2023 no sul de Israel. O estudo ouviu 1.200 entrevistados, com margem de erro estimada em 3,5%.

O apoio atual ao 7 de Outubro é levemente superior ao registrado em maio (50%), mas menor que o pico de 71% constatado em março de 2024, mostrando uma oscilação desde o início do conflito. O índice é maior na Cisjordânia/Judeia e Samaria (59%) e menor na Faixa de Gaza (44%). Segundo a pesquisa, a oposição ao desarmamento do Hamas continua massiva, chegando a 70%, mesmo quando apresentada como condição para encerrar a guerra.

O Hamas também tem vantagem em relação ao Fatah em intenções de voto para eleições locais, com 44% contra 30%. O instituto registra ainda uma crescente percepção de corrupção na Autoridade Palestina e um sentimento generalizado de insegurança, sobretudo na Cisjordânia / Judeia e Samaria.

Para o PCPSR, os resultados refletem uma sociedade profundamente dividida, marcada pelo ceticismo em relação a soluções externas e pela resistência à desmilitarização. Mesmo com a queda nas expectativas de vitória do Hamas no que diz respeito ao cessar-fogo — hoje em 39% e antes em 43%—, a maioria mantém a narrativa de que o ataque de 7 de Outubro foi “justificado”.

O relatório conclui que a opinião pública palestina segue marcada pelo descrédito em relação à liderança da Autoridade Palestina e pela divisão sobre a legitimidade de uma governança interna entre o Hamas e outras facções de oposição
