On October 7, 2023, as Hamas terrorists attacked entire communities in southern Israel, Ran Gvili (24), a police officer in Israel’s Yasam counter-terror unit, did not hesitate to respond, even while recovering from a broken shoulder. In his heroic actions, Ran helped save lives and was shot in the leg.

On January 31, 2024, it was confirmed that Ran was murdered by terrorists on October 7 and then kidnapped into Gaza. We will not stop fighting until he is home.

Ontem (3), o Guinness World Records informou ao jornal israelense The Jerusalem Post que não está aceitando novas inscrições vindas de Israel. Segundo a organização, a política está em vigor desde novembro de 2023 e só há exceção para iniciativas realizadas em parceria com agências de ajuda humanitária da ONU. O GWR afirmou que acompanha a situação de perto e que a medida passa por revisão mensal, com a expectativa de retomar as análises em breve.

A decisão veio à tona após a ONG Matnat Chaim tentar registrar o recorde de maior encontro de doadores vivos de rim do mundo numa foto com 2 mil voluntários em Jerusalém. O projeto, planejado desde 2019 e suspenso durante a pandemia, foi retomado neste ano. A organização enviou diversas mensagens ao Guinness entre agosto e setembro, mas não recebeu resposta. Depois, foi informada de que o órgão não poderia colaborar com o evento. A ONG afirmou ter recebido com surpresa a recusa, já que a iniciativa é totalmente altruísta.

O ministro das Relações Exteriores de Israel, Gideon Sa’ar, classificou a decisão como “inaceitável” e exigiu sua imediata revisão. Para ele, negar reconhecimento a um feito humanitário dessa dimensão, fruto da solidariedade de doadores israelenses, é uma distorção de princípios básicos de justiça e responsabilidade social. Em resposta via rede social X, os organizadores do Guinness repetiram o que parece ser o mesmo discurso pronto que já havia sido dado ao The Jerusalem Post, sem qualquer personalização na justificativa: não estão processando solicitações de recordes dos Territórios Palestinos ou de Israel desde novembro de 2023, com exceção daquelas feitas junto à ONU; entendem a delicadeza da situação e a política passa por revisão mensal.

🚨🚨Breaking: Internal documents reveal Hamas infiltration of top international NGOs.

In internal Hamas documents published by @NGOmonitor, Hamas officials describe assigning “guarantors,” who act as formal liaisons between Hamas and major NGOs such as Doctors Without Borders, Oxfam, Save the Children, and the Norwegian Refugee Council.

These “guarantors” are local Gazans approved by Hamas, who “hold senior administrative positions, such as director, deputy director, or board chair, ensuring access to the highest levels of the NGOs’ local branches and operations,” according to NGO Monitor.

NGO Monitor also found that, according to Hamas’ own communications, at least 10 of these guarantors — who were also senior NGO officials in Gaza — were simultaneously members or supporters of Hamas, or employed by Hamas-linked groups.

Hamas also conducted widespread surveillance of NGO officials in Gaza, with one Hamas document noting that the guarantors across 48 NGOs “can be exploited for security purposes in order to infiltrate foreign associations, their foreign senior personnel and their movements.”

These documents are the first formal proof that Hamas leveraged the international NGO sector in Gaza to further its agenda, and come as those same NGOs are due to reconstruct what is supposed to be a Hamas-free Gaza.
