Fake News: Telegram's Unlimited Storage to Become Paid

Some channels have started spreading rumors that Telegram will limit storage for free users and make unlimited storage a privilege for Premium subscribers.

A source close to Telegram informed us that this is untrue.

File storage in Telegram remains unlimited for all users, with a maximum single file size of 2 GB (Premium subscribers can upload files up to 4 GB).

The misinformation is based on the fact that the messenger changed the wording about the increased limit in the denoscription of Telegram Premium features. This allegedly indicates that Telegram is planning to make unlimited storage paid, which is not true.
