Today, in a bipartisan fashion and with my support, the House voted to censure Rep. Al Green for his conduct during @POTUS's address to Congress. His behavior was unacceptable, and we cannot tolerate disruptions to official proceedings on the House floor. Rep. Green defied warnings from the Speaker, shook his cane at the President, and was eventually escorted out of the chamber by the Sergeant at Arms, forcing @realDonaldTrump to pause his speech. As Americans, we should be able to express our differences with civility and respect. Sadly, that did not happen.
