FISA reauthorization is what we are being pressured on this week. It expires Dec 31st of course.

The original purpose of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, allows the government to conduct targeted surveillance of foreign nationals living outside the U.S. without needing to obtain a warrant.

It was passed after 9/11 to stop terrorism, but the FISA court has been greatly abused by the FBI and DOJ and used against Americans instead of foreign nationals violating the 4th amendment.

Examples of FISA abuses and spying:

🚨 The FBI abused FISA to search for information in a U.S. database of foreign intelligence more than 278,000 times in 2020 and early 2021, including Americans involved in the Jan. 6 and BLM riots.

🚨 FBI employees wrongly searched foreign surveillance data for the last names of a U.S. senator and a state senator. FBI ran a query using the Social Security number of a state judge who complained about alleged civil rights violations by a municipal chief of police.

While we need the ability to stop terrorism in America, abusing FISA to target political enemies should never happen.

But if a terrorist attack happens on U.S. soil, every American will blame the Biden regime for allowing 1.8 million got aways in our country including an unknown number of terrorists from all over the world!

It won’t be because members of Congress like me refuse to vote to reauthorize secret spy courts and fund politically weaponized government agencies.

Rather than follow the lawful subpoena for a deposition issued by Chairman James Comer, Hunter Biden decided to play circus outside the Capitol this morning.

President Trump’s own children sat for hours of depositions after being subpoenaed countless times by the Democrats.

I love our military. That’s why I voted for the NDAA passed this summer under Speaker McCarthy that included a 30% pay raise for junior members of the military.

But the NDAA negotiated by Speaker Johnson, Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell and Hakeem Jeffries removed that pay raise.

Not only that, it didn’t remove Ukraine funding and doubled it to $600 million, funded abortion vacations, and kept trans in our military.

Worst of all, they shoved the FISA spy court into our defense bill. The NDAA should NEVER reauthorize the weaponization of our justice system that Joe Biden’s DOJ and the FBI are using to spy on American citizens!

I was honored to meet Jake Chansley this weekend, and I want to explain why I say honored.

The entire country knows Jake as the face of the Jan 6th “Insurrection” because the media plastered his image and slandered him all over the world, the Biden regime’s DOJ wrongfully prosecuted him for innocently and nonviolently walking through the Capital, and he was then treated horrifically in prisons even being held in solitary confinement for over 10 months just like many other J6’ers.

Yet when I spoke with Jake, he is remarkably positive, happy, forgiving, and determined.

Most people would be crushed and forever destroyed after being treated so horrendously by the media and their own government, but not Jake.

I am constantly angry and frustrated with my own GOP conference that most Republicans in Washington refuse to do anything to help the J6’ers, while the federal government continues to tyrannically destroy their lives.

Many of them nonviolently walked in and out of the Capital and have been and are still being locked up for years, while over 95% of violent BLM and Antifa rioters charges were dropped!

This is such a hypocritical injustice in America and it makes me sick.

If Antifa and BLM walk free after continuous 2020 riots attacking police, federal buildings and monuments, looting and burning, murder, and causing $2+ billion in damages to communities all over America, then J6’ers should easily walk free as well.

There is hardly a comparison and the hypocrisy is grotesque.

Yet it’s not really what J6’ers did that causes the DOJ to continue to persecute them, it’s really about what they said on January 6th.

This is really about punishing Americans who dared to use their 1st amendment - their free speech to protest against the government, which the American people have the right to do, and the DOJ continues to persecute them in order to teach a lesson to the American people to never do it again.

It is cruel and unusual, actually shameful, the way this administration continues it’s perversion of justice.

The American people know it and are grieved and angered by it.

It is literally one of the biggest issues people ask me about all over the country and they always ask me why Republicans don’t stop it.

While Washington DC has one of the highest murder rates and crime statistics in the country, the politicized and weaponized DOJ hunts and persecutes it’s perceived political enemies instead of putting real criminals behind bars and keeping DC safe.

The DOJ thinks and wants you to think that MAGA grandmas and veterans are more dangerous than criminal migrants, terrorists, and child sex traffickers, and Republicans in Washington refuse to work together to stop the politically weaponized DOJ.

Beyond the hat and the face paint is a person, an American, who was wronged by the Democrat mouthpiece media, the Democrat administration, and stuck up weak Republican establishment, and I was honored to meet Jake because he seems to be a better person than all of them combined.

Jake is still the face of January 6th but I think that may be now because he has a spirit of perseverance through times of persecution.

And that’s the spirit many Americans need in these trying times.
