I strongly support our military, our troops, and an overwhelming and powerful national defense.

But this year’s NDAA authorizes almost $900 billion for the Pentagon that has never passed an audit. It’s just too much money for an organization that doesn’t know where billions of your hard-earned tax dollars are going.

Not only that, this NDAA funds abortion vacations and transgender sex changes that no taxpayer should have to pay for.

The bill in its current form is just not something I can vote for in good conscience.

Today, I voted NO.

There were nearly $240 billion worth of improper payments made in FY23, and Medicare and Medicaid programs accounted for nearly 43% of the improper payments that year.

With all the information the government has access to, it’s unacceptable that hundreds of billions are wasted from clerical errors.

Medicare and Medicaid need serious oversight to ensure that those who actually need the funding from these programs receive it, and we aren’t sending billions in cash to those who don’t.
