A federal judge has temporarily blocked President Trump’s executive order to freeze federal grants and loans and also a Transgender advocacy group is suing Trump administration over executive order ending transgenderism in the military.

The Democrats are going to fight President Trump’s GREAT executive orders with lawfare.

But this is why the Republican controlled House and Senate need to pass legislation to make President Trump’s policies law.

Good morning.

After two days at our House Republican winter retreat, we still do not have a plan on budget reconciliation and our Speaker and his team have not offered one.

Not even if we are in a one bill or two bill framework, even though President Trump (who prefers one big beautiful bill) literally told us here at the start of our conference that he now does not care if it’s one or two.

Basically, just get started doing something.

We have only been presented with the same policy and budget cut proposals that we have been presented with for a month now at all our meetings and at a full Saturday conference meeting earlier this month.

I would say sink or swim, but our country is already sinking, so we MUST swim.

President Trump is leading the charge with unprecedented America FIRST executive orders.

We should be writing our bills and budget reconciliation word for word to his executive orders so that they can become law and not stopped with Democrat lawsuits that are already piling up or a future Democrat administration that undoes them all with a stroke of the pen.

The American people elected Trump and are THRILLED with his executive orders and aggressive leadership that fights for America, and they want the entire Republican Party to DO THE SAME.

The American people demand Republicans deliver on the mandate and we should not be concerned about what CBO, who is left leaning and gets it wrong all the time, says. We should care what the people say and they don’t care what CBO says.

And don’t worry, tax dollars did not pay for our conference retreat, we had to pay for it ourselves.

I would normally complain about spending money that didn’t accomplish anything, but we stayed at Trump Doral, which is a phenomenal resort, and the weather was sunny and in the 70’s. And the Congressional Institute did a good job as always.

Now the flag is at full mast.

I very much want House Republicans to be successful, all of us, with our razor thin majority.

Next time we meet, I hope to know a framework of our plan and I hope this doesn’t turn into another bill with thousands of pages dumped on us with less than 72 hours to read it all before we have to vote on the eve of another government shutdown.

But why would I expect different?
