Recently came across on a very interesting project named Clam Island,

At first i was intrigued by that Consensys (company behind the MetaMask invested in them),
Yesterday they put the info, that Protocol Labs (company behind the Filecoin) also invested in them.

Spent almost whole day researching this one for you guys,
Project is very complex, its DeFi yield farm with gamification and aspiration to become a Steam of blockchain gaming by 2023.
Team behind this project is build of DeFi Farmers degens that started playing DeFi at the very early times - personally dont know them.

Clam island is so damn complex, that it took me few hours to understood what is this all about.

Right now project is in state of proving that it can create a sustainable ecosystem.

Ecosystem uses:

Shell Token - governance low supply (780k mc currently)
Gem Token - used to pay for everything at the Clam Island (720k mc currently)

Basically, its not the project that you just buy any of those 2 hodl it and do nothing, you need to play the game to be earning (or not as it still depends on that if people sell or not)
When you start a game, NPC offers you a tour at the island explaining the basics - there is also a good youtube coverage explaining what to do.

How i started?

I bought only GEM token,
Staked half in a single pool with 300+ APR (+Boost - will explain later) Best APR you get by providing liq to BNB/GEM its like 1200% apr without boost.
For the 2nd half, i bought CLAMS and put 1 of each rarity i had to FARMs (each rarity in farm, gives you a boost to GEM yield farm, but if you put Clams of the same rarity, you are loosing boost - this is giving you PEARL NFT my first one is producing PEARL over 1 day 12h, CLAMs can produce multiple Pearls,
also CLAMS can be harvested for SHELL token - after 2 days of incubation in SAFEROOM.

Whats the usage of Pearls? there is billions of traits that pearl can have. Pearls can be harvested for a boost to GEM yield, but each day there is few traits that can be harvested (bonus lasts 30 days).
In the future update, they plan to implement a function where you can use 50% of boost but could harvest Pearls anyday you want, and get 100% on the day only where traits are choosen.
They plan to also add other utilities to those PEarls, so i would say - its worth keeping them for the future, becouse its definitelly a long term project.

By my understanding, whenever you get a Clam with rarity uncommon/common and you already have these in a Farm, then its worth to just wait 2 days in the Saferoom and harvest Clam for Shell token, sell or hodl Shell token (it will get also a cool features in the future) and if you sell it, just buy Gems and buy next Clam :D


Basically, im intrigued by the complexity of the Clam Island, telegram chat looks really good, found there pretty helpful people
