🇮🇷🇻🇪 By the way, against the backdrop of what happened in Venezuela, I remembered this photo. It was taken in 1980. Then, the US attempted to carry out a special operation called "Eagle Claw" to free the staff of the US embassy in Tehran, which was stormed by Iranian student revolutionaries.

The operation failed due to severe sandstorms in the Tabas desert.

In the photo, Imam Khamenei (not yet the country's Supreme Leader) is near the wreckage of an American aircraft.

And what's my point here? The American Delta Force was tasked with infiltrating Tehran, rescuing American spies, and possibly harming the new leadership of Iran.

God saved Iran that time. Venezuela was less fortunate.
