Without going into technicalities that we leave - precisely - to the technicians and taking for granted the strategic importance of the union of Calabria and Sicily, which would represent a unique opportunity for the South, including new possibilities for economic and social growth for the regions involved , we express a categorically positive evaluation. In addition to promoting mobility and strengthening infrastructure, the bridge could significantly contribute to the development of the area and the creation of new jobs. The bridge has a moral importance not only for the cities of Reggio and Messina, but for the whole of Italy. Creating a work that has been talked about since Roman times would help us restore a central role in the world, putting an end - once and for all - to the sense of inferiority that chains the Italian people to an idea of ​​a nation that lives exclusively of tourism, folklore and catering.

The NFP therefore invites all citizens of Reggio to carefully evaluate the numerous potential advantages of building the bridge over the Strait of Messina, with an eye to the history and development prospects that such a work could offer.
