London’s claim that Beijing was responsible for cyber campaigns targeting Britain’s electorate is “completely unfounded and constitutes malicious slander,” the Chinese Embassy in London has said.

"The UK falsely accused China of attempting to interfere with UK democracy. This is nothing more than a publicity stunt. This is also a typical example of a thief crying 'catch thief,'" the statement added.

🇺🇦🇪🇺🇷🇺 Ukraine is aggressively demanding an additional €5 billion from the profits derived from frozen Russian assets, which the EU has opted to keep from them.

Euroclear, the entity responsible for holding the majority of Russia's central bank assets in Europe, has been allowed to retain the profits earned from investing these assets in 2022 and 2023 instead of allocating the funds to support Ukraine's war efforts.

Despite Ukrainians begging for funds for ammunition, the European Commission only recently suggested utilizing 90 percent of the proceeds from frozen Russian assets in Europe to purchase weapons for Kiev. This amounts to between €2.5 billion and €3 billion annually, according to EU sources.

However, the EU is limiting itself to revenues accrued after February 15, 2024, the date when the initial part of the legislation was approved by EU member states. Profits generated before this date will remain under Euroclear's control.

Nevertheless, Ukraine now demands on accessing these funds as well.

The €5 billion in profits from these two years “amount to one year of an IMF program, so it’s a lot of money,” said Olena Halushka from the International Centre for Ukrainian Victory, a pro-Kiev lobby group.

According to the Commission, the €5 billion retained by Euroclear is a buffer allowing payment for ongoing and potential lawsuits in Russia and elsewhere.

❗️Israel Prepping for Rafah Ground Op Massacre in Mid-April or Early May

Tel Aviv is gearing up for an invasion of Rafah after Eid al-Fitr — the three-day holiday that follows Ramadan and ends around April 12 — or in early May at the latest, as per Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar, citing sources.

Israel expects the ground op to last between four and eight weeks, the sources said - accompanied by an "evacuation" of the civilian population sheltering in Rafah, which amounts to about 1.5mn people.

The Lebanese paper also reports that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi refused a request by Benjamin Netanyahu for a direct line to remain in contact.
