US budget deficit will reach $1.9 trillion in 2024 due to aid to Ukraine

The country's total national debt will grow to $50.7 trillion by 2034, or 122% of the country's GDP, according to a report by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO).

The largest contributor to the cumulative increase was the inclusion of recently enacted legislation in CBO's baseline,
which increased projected deficits by $1.6 trillion. That legislation included emergency supplemental appropriations that provided $95 billion for aid to Ukraine, Israel, and countries in the Indo-Pacific region.

In January, the US national debt surpassed $34 trillion for the first time in history - an increase of nearly 10% over the year, or $2.7 trillion.

🔴Moscow's New Multipurpose Cruise Missile Submarine Starts Sea Trials in White Sea

Russia’s Yasen-class sub K-564 Arkhangelsk has left the Sevmash naval yard in Severodvinsk for testing at sea for the first time.

The multipurpose sub will ultimately be based at the Nerpitcha piers in submarine base Zapadnaya Litsa, only about 60km from NATO country Norway.

“The weapons systems of these vessels are significantly superior to their foreign counterparts in a number of their characteristics,” Navy Commander at the time Nikolai Yevmenov underlined in a speech last year - the sub is able to carry the Tsirkon hypersonic cruise missiles.

A French Blast media reporter has been detained in front of the Exxelia company while covering the demonstration against arms sales to Tel Aviv.

The journalist's detention period was extended after refusing to give the phone password to the police to protect news sources, the media firm said.

French Blast described the journalist's detention as a "serious and unjust attack on freedom of information," demanding the immediate release of the journalist.

In 2016, a family from Gaza filed a lawsuit against Exxelia, claiming that components produced by the company were used in missiles launched by Israel, accusing Exxelia of complicity in manslaughter and war crimes.
