Update: Attacks since yesterday
Heavy fighting took place yesterday at Tishrin Dam. SDF announced that it had killed 52 militias and heavy weapons including a tank over the past days. Further 8 SDF fighters were martyred. Attacks took further place around Kobane destroying a wheat storage and Gire Spi. Late last night also heavy attacks in Qereqazaq Bridge and Sirrin were reported.
Yesterday Turkey yet again intensified its attacks. Another targeted assassination took place against two cars on the highway near Heseke. 7 members of the Council of Elders of the city Til Berek were hit, martyring 3 of them and injuring one more. They had just returned from meeting with local population in order to support them.
In Aleppo countryside a mine exploded martyring one child and injuring 8 more.

Yesterday, friends showed their solidarity with North East Syria They said:
10 years after the resistance of Kobane that sanctioned the defeat of ISIS, the dictator Erdogan is jeopardizing this historic victory to pursue his imperialist interests in the region, reaping victims among the civilian population, compromising the functioning of fundamental infrastructures, limiting access to water and killing journalists who try to document these war crimes, as in the case of Nazim Daștan and Cihan Bilgin.
Defending Rojava means fighting for a democratic society whose pillars are gender equality, peaceful coexistence of different ethnic groups, cultures and religions; a beacon of hope in the Middle East and throughout the world.
We call on the international community and countries that consider themselves democratic to intervene immediately to stop Turkey and avoid yet another humanitarian catastrophe.

Jineoloji Institute shares their analysis of the current situation in Syria
The hostility of Turkey and its gangs against women reveals the two-line war in Syria. People’s leader Abdullah Ocalan, predicted for the 21st century: “Either Socialism or Barbarism”. We can interpret this as “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” (Woman, Life, Freedom) or “Men, State, Violence”.
Hegemonic forces have used the ongoing third world war, whose center is the Middle East, to put a new plan into action in Syria as of November 27. According to information from local sources, since the summer, the gangs that have been holding training camps in Idlib and Rehyanli, have put forth a new version of their training course: “train and equip” and then have been releasing their trainees into the field in Syria.
The events that are taking place in the last days of 2024 at a mind-boggling speed indicate how the year 2025 will pass. Of course, within this plan, every hegemonic power has a new plan of its own. Are the democratic forces in Syria and the Middle East capable of protecting their people, women, cultures, nature and the future against these plans however the situation plays out? We will answer this question in due time, but now let’s look at the aspirations of the hegemonic powers who try to conquer not only our land, but also our hearts and minds.

The Turkish Foreign Minister made his first official visit to Damascus to meet HTS leader Jolani. The main aim of the visit was to convince Jolani to take active action against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The German Foreign Minister contradictorily announced that she salutes the historic resistance of the SDF in their fight against ISIS and at the same time called for their disarmament in order to “ensure Turkey's security”, reflecting a hypocrite approach shared by all Western powers.
8 Kurdish youths have been arrested and remanded in custody in Iran, following posts they shared on social networks welcoming the fall of Bashar Al Assad's regime in Syria.

📷 Cîhan (pronounced Jeehan in English) Bilgîn was a Kurdish journalist killed in a Turkish drone strike on 19 December near Kobani in North and East Syria.
🖋️Reporting from the frontline of the war in Rojava, she faced many difficulties, but she continued to motivate people and remained true to her cause. Her legacy lives on.

The Rojava Revolution in Northeast Syria is now in grave danger.
Turkey, with its support for the so-called “Syrian National Army” (SNA) is directly attacking Rojava.
In this period of reconstruction of Syria, the Rojava revolution must be recognized in order to give rise to a political and democratic solution for all its peoples. To do this, we need the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan, the ideological leader of the revolution in Kurdistan, imprisoned by Turkey for 25 years.
Today, we have the responsibility to continue to stand alongside the Kurdish people and all the peoples of Syria, fighting against the capitalist and colonial nation-states, Turkey and its allies.

🔴 HAPPENING NOW - SDF begins new offensive, retaking lands in Minbic from the SNA/Turkey
After weeks of heavy clashes at the Tishreen Dam the SDF have begun a new offensive against the invading SNA/Turkish forces. This morning the SDF began the Şehîd Ezîz Ereb Campaign to advance into Minbic and force the SNA back. At around 1.30pm local time the SDF expelled the SNA from the village of Qişlê.
So far the SDF have destroyed 1 tank and 5 vehicles of SNA/Turkey, captured one enemy fighter and collected the abandonned bodies of 10 enemy fighters.

Yesterday YPG fighter, Ali Haydar, described how the resistance of the SDF has broken the psychology of the SNA/Turkish gangs

Rojava Information Center (RIC) records 165 military personnel from SDF, 11 Asayish (internal security forces) and 68 civilians killed in Turkish/SNA attacks since December 29th, plus 73 civilians wounded.
A massive demonstration was held in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, in support of the resistance of Rojava in the face of attacks by Turkey and its mercenaries, calling for ‘the unity of the Kurdish people’.
