🌹🔥 Climate and human rights activist Lea Bunse speaks out: Stand Up! 🌹🔥
Today we saw many injured friends. Today alone 73 were injured. This means that since the protests at the dam began on 8 January, 160 civilians have been injured and 14 lost their lives.
Today ambulances could not evacuate the wounded to the nearest hospitals for hours because the Turkish state continued bombing around the dam. A few days ago an ambulance was bombed evacuating the wounded but this did not happen today. Thankfully, many people have now been evacuated and are being treated in hospital.
Lea, a young woman and climate and human rights activist, was injured in the bombings. Her condition now is stable.

🎥 Since January 8, historic popular resistance has been taking place at the Tishreen dam in northern and eastern Syria, where thousands of civilians are taking turns to protest against Turkey's attacks.
At the demonstration in Marseille on January 18, we were mobilized alongside the Kurdish community, in particular the Youth.
We call on activists, supporters, organizations, collectives and associations to join and take part in the major mobilization happening everywhere to defend the revolution in northern and eastern Syria ✌️

It is still the 3rd week of our Global Action Month:
Our aim is to stop the turkish attacks on the Tishreen Dam, to protect the people that are resisting there, the life of thousands living in villages nearby, as well as the dam as a supply of water & electricity!
This week we will focus on the imperialist centres: We know that it is the hegemonic weapons industry of the NATO countries that is behind the attacks of the Turkish state. And we say: Now it is time to stop them!
During this week we will also celebrate the 10th anniversary of the liberation of Kobanê, which today is once again under threat of the fascist attacks of SNA and the Turkish state.
We have to defend Kobanê today as 10 years ago, and today defending Kobanê means defending Tishreen Dam!

From the protest camp at the Tishrin Dam in Rojava, North-East Syria we call on all the youth organizations, socialists, antifascists, ecologist, women’s movements and everyone that stands against war to speak up to the war crimes being committed by the Turkish state on the Tishreen Dam and to start actions to stop the attacks.
The action to protect the Tishrin dam is not only in North-East Syria but has to spread everywhere! We call on everyone to join the action day on the 25th and 26th and together we will bring an end to the attacks on the Tishreen dam!
