🔥Exciting news, Jenni (co-author of Worth Fighting For) just started updating on the current situation here in Rojava from on the ground and will be travelling to Tishreen Dam ASAP and share her impressions from there with us.
❤️🔥It would be amazing if as many people as possible could follow her videos and re post them, you all know how difficult it is to get a social media going. Her first video will be posted this morning around 8.30/9

There were several explosions near the Tishreen dam as I arrived to the site with the latest convoy. On the way, I saw many craters and burnt cars from strikes and shells dropped on previous convoys. Then, on the dam, I saw the remains of cars destroyed by Turkish strikes, including some bearing the sign of ambulances. Despite all this, our convoy still reached our destination with high energy and determination, and we were greeted with joy and excitement!

As Turkey and its allied jihadists attack Rojava, the SDF and the People's Resistance are fighting back! This is currently being achieved with great success at the Tishrin Dam, on the ground and now in the air as well.
Let's not stand idly by, we too can take an active part in the fight to defend Rojava. Whether we take action, organise demonstrations or collect money! There is the successful gas mask campaign that enables the Gerila in the free mountains of Kurdistan to resist the poison gas attacks of the Turkish fascism. Now we also can directly to raise money for the drones of the Rojava revolution.

"The Action in Gabar was carried out by our Martyr Doğan Zinar Union"
On 30 January four airstirkes hit a military base and a petrol station on the Gabar Mountain in North Kurdistan. The bombing made a big damage.
Today the HPG (People's Defense Forces) declared that it was the aircraft of the Martyr Doğan Zinar Unit.

I am on the Tishreen dam in North and East Syria, where civilians have gathered to protect their land and infrastructure.
I went back to the site of the Turkish targeted action from yesterday, which I witnessed. It was on a place where ordinary civilians were standing. Cross-border unjustified targetting like this should be against international law.

Cihan Bilgin, a journalist who lost her life in a Turkish strike while on duty, was a close friend of Rohat. I speak to Rohat, a courageous local journalist herself, and others assembled at the Tishreen dam about why they came here.
Cihan was reporting about the ongoing upheaval in North and East Syria, about the fight between the Turk!sh proxy force SNA and the SDF, and about the resistance on the ground. She was struck while travelling around the dam to her next reporting location, along with journalist Nazim Dashtan - most known for his tireless reporting on ISIS.
The aim of targeting journalists like this is clear: to make sure the word does not get out. Everyone can help to combat the international silence which allows this dire situation to continue without accountability. Help to spread awareness!

ANF News Agency: Turkish attack in Kobanê leaves over 200,000 people without water
In a press statement regarding the attack, the Euphrates Canton Water Department said on Monday that the occupying Turkish state intensified its attacks and committed massacres against the civilian population in the region. The statement pointed out that the purpose of the targeted attacks against infrastructure resources was to put the people in a difficult situation and break their resistance.

For the past month, the people of Rojava have been collectively defending the crucial Tişrîn Dam. Despite daily Turkish attacks on civilians and SDF forces, the community stands firmly behind the SDF and the dam. As Kongra Star member Jiyan Hisên says, “Our people are making history again by defending their land, water, soil, and very existence.”
This resistance is backed by all segments of society across the autonomous regions of northern and eastern Syria. Kurds, Arabs, Syrians, and Armenians stand united at the dam, shielding it from further Turkish shelling. Without them, the region would face severe water shortages, major power outages, dangerous flooding, and a looming disaster.
In 31 days of resistance, Turkey has killed 41 people and injured around 250 people.
The historic defense of Tişrîn Dam shows the world we see these war crimes and stand in solidarity with the popular resistance and the SDF.
