Several months after the fall of the Ba'ath regime, and the joy of the Syrian people who revolted against this regime and its oppressive practices, the so-called "Constitutional Declaration" was issued today in Damascus. This declaration includes provisions and a traditional style similar to the standards and criteria followed by the Ba'ath government.

This measure once again contradicts the reality of Syria and its diversity. It also effectively falsifies Syria's national and societal identity, as this declaration lacks the imprint and spirit of Syria's people and its various components, from Kurds to Arabs, as well as Syriacs, Assyrians, and other Syrian national components.

We, in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, affirm that Syria today needs the solidarity and unity of its people to determine their democratic future and Syrian national participation, which strengthens partnership in the homeland.

We also affirm that this declaration lacks the standards of Syrian national diversity and lacks the actual participation of Syria's national components. Therefore, this declaration once again expresses the "individualistic mentality," which is an extension of the previous state that existed in Syria and against which the people rose up.

This declaration does not represent the aspirations of our people, nor does it recognize the true nature of their authentic identity in Syria. It is merely a form and framework that undermines efforts to achieve true democracy in Syria, and its provisions are far removed from Syria and the hopes of its people. The true constitution is one that all components share and agree upon, as it is the sustainable democratic path for the future of Syria and the future of its coming generations. We hope that some narrow practices and ideas will not return us to square one, as that will only make the Syrian wound bleed again.

SDF PRESS: Ongoing Escalation of Turkish Occupation Attacks and Strong Retaliatory Operations by Our Forces on Tishreen Dam and Qara Qwzaq Fronts

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries are intensifying their daily attacks on north and eastern Syria, yet they have made no significant progress due to the steadfast resistance of our fighters.

Yesterday on the Tishreen Dam front, Turkish occupation warplanes carried out multiple airstrikes targeting the dam’s vicinity, including workers’ housing. Heavy Turkish artillery fire also struck villages in the southeastern countryside of Manbij, causing extensive material damage to civilian homes. Additionally, one of our positions was targeted, resulting in minor injuries to one of our fighters.
As the occupation’s mercenaries were preparing to launch an attack on our positions, our Martyr Haroun Units conducted an operation against them, eliminating two mercenaries and destroying an ammunition depot and a military vehicle belonging to the mercenaries. Severe damage was inflicted to the mercenaries’ position.
In addition, our Martyr Haroun Units successfully intercepted and destroyed a suicide drone as it attempted to attack our positions.

On the Qara Qwzaq front, Turkish occupation warplanes launched several airstrikes on the village of Ghasq and a fuel station near the Serrin town junction. These strikes were accompanied by intense shelling from artillery, tanks, rocket launchers, and mortars, targeting the villages of al-Tina, Ja’dah, Bir Hisso, Ghasq, Dekan, Melha, and al-Sana’, as well as the Sayfi Hill and Qara Qwzaq Hill near the bridge. More than 180 shells indiscriminately struck these areas, causing significant destruction to homes and civilian properties.

"In response to these attacks, our fighters carried out an operation targeting the bases and fortifications of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries in the western countryside near the Qara Qwzaq bridge. One mercenary was confirmed eliminated, and two others were wounded.

In Kobani, Turkish occupation warplanes launched two airstrikes on Mount Barkal, southeast of the city, alongside heavy artillery shelling, resulting in material damage. Turkish warplanes and UCAVs continued to hover over the city and its surrounding areas throughout the day.

Additionally, Turkish occupation warplanes and UCAVs remained active over the town of Ain Issa and its surrounding areas.

The total confirmed casualties among the mercenaries include three eliminated and two wounded. Furthermore, a suicide drone and a military vehicle were successfully destroyed."

While massacres on members of the Alawite minority continue on the Syrian coast, the Kurdish Red Crescent prepares to send aid relief and Health Workers to the region to support.

This initiative comes in response to the urgent need to provide relief and basic assistance to the people of the coast.

Turkey committed a massacre last night: 9 members of the same Family murdered by Turkish Airstrikes

Yesterday night Turkish airstrikes struck close to the village of Qomji and Barkh Botan, south of Kobani. As a result nine civilians from the same family have been murdered, with two additional family members wounded. As reports indicate the family was doing field work when a Turkish warplane targeted them.

The agreement between SDF and HTS: A step towards democracy in Syria?🤝

On the 10th of March an agreement between the SDF and HTS was signed by their representatives Mazloum Abdi and Ahmed Al-Sharaa. While this agreement opens the way for some developments, there are a lot of questions coming up.

To understand this agreement better we have to take into account the broader situation of Syria. The new agreement between the SDF and HTS which was signed on the 10th of March should be seen as a step in a more long term and strategical process. It is signed in a moment of strength, where the HTS can just exist with international support, while the revolution is standing on its own feet, the strength of an organized society.

Statement by the General Command of the YPG on the Transfer of Security Responsibilities in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyyah

Since the recent phase of the conflict in Syria, the people of Şêxmeqsûd and Eşrefiyê in Aleppo have established a self-reliant and organized system of defense in response to persistent threats. From the earliest days, the YPG and YPJ have actively supported and reinforced this line of resistance.

Throughout this period, our forces have borne significant sacrifices. However, the strategic gains achieved have played a decisive role in ensuring the security and stability of the civilian population. Recent developments have once again affirmed the effectiveness and resilience of this collective effort. Our units have carried out their responsibilities with discipline and a clear sense of duty.

In accordance with the latest agreement concluded between the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Syrian Transitional Government, the responsibility for maintaining security in Şêxmeqsûd and Eşrefiyê has been formally transferred to the Internal Security Forces operating under the authority of the Autonomous Administration. A partial withdrawal of our forces has already been completed; the remaining units will be redeployed in a phased and orderly manner over the coming days.

The YPG and YPJ remain committed to the principles of self-governance and the organized will of the people. We will continue to adapt our posture in line with the strategic requirements of the new phase.

منذ بداية المرحلة الأخيرة من النزاع في سوريا، تمكّن أهالي الشيخ مقصود والأشرفية في حلب من تأسيس منظومة دفاعية ذاتية ومنظمة في مواجهة التهديدات المستمرة. حيث قامت وحدات حماية الشعب ووحدات حماية المرأة بدعم وتعزيز هذا الخط الدفاعي بشكل فعّال.

خلال هذه الفترة، قدمت قواتنا تضحيات جسيمة. ناهيك عن المكاسب الاستراتيجية التي تحققت، حيث لعبت دوراً حاسماً في ضمان أمن واستقرار السكان المدنيين. وقد أكدت التطورات الأخيرة مجدداً على فعالية وصمود هذه الجهود الجماعية حيث أدت وحداتنا دورها بإنضباط ومسؤولية.

وفقاً للاتفاق الأخير المبرم بين الإدارة الذاتية لشمال وشرق سوريا والحكومة السورية الانتقالية، تم نقل مسؤولية حفظ الأمن في الشيخ مقصود والأشرفية رسمياً إلى قوى الأمن الداخلي العاملة تحت مظلة الإدارة الذاتية. وقد تم بالفعل إنجاز انسحاب جزئي لقواتنا، وستتم إعادة انتشار الوحدات المتبقية بشكل مرحلي ومنظم خلال الأيام القادمة.

تظل وحدات حماية الشعب ووحدات حماية المرأة ملتزمة بمبادئ الإدارة الذاتية والإرادة الشعبية. كما أننا سنواصل تكييف موقفنا بما يتماشى مع المتطلبات الاستراتيجية للمرحلة الجديدة.
